…well, so far there’s really only one “con” which is that the speed isn’t super-fast, but it’s fast enough. Okay, so that’s more of a whingey half-con, but it’s all there is right now.
First pro is that we have it and it works. Our wireless signal from our router has the whole flat covered despite the double-brick walls (not that this was a likely problem given the size of the place, but still). We’ve got 10GB on-peak and another 10GB off-peak, which initially I was a bit skeptical of - thinking there would be some crazy off-peak hours - but I looked into it, and peak is PM hours, and off is AM hours, which is pretty reasonable.
We were a bit worried when we realised that this place is old and so doesn’t have the ethernet wall-plug, but after a brief freak-out, we got an adaptor and (obviously) it’s all good.
Anyway, I think it’s time for some good old fashioned Robot Unicorn Attack (or sleep… Amy’s getting pretty comfortable next to me… no, I think I need some flash games…)
Looking for Patterns in Static……will be back to its old posting glory on this coming Wednesday!
I WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE INTERNET WITHOUT HAVING TO HANG OUT IN THE OFFICEWORKS CARPARK!
Blip.Sadly, I’m not back yet, but I am scabbing free wifi from the Officeworks at the top of Anzac Highway.
No internet at home yet, obviously. Other than that, married life is going well. Amy and I have had a few weird moments - absolutely everything has suddenly changed for both of us and we’re not always dealing with it in the healthiest ways - but on the whole we’ve kept it together pretty well.
Because I had no job to go back to when we moved in, we got the whole house sorted out and moved in to in under two weeks. I’ve got an office now which has been awesome already as I’ve been cutting footage from our wedding together. I’m also in pre-production for a [very] short film I’m directing, which will be called ‘Boxer’. Things are plodding along for Greyhands too (I hope I’m ready in time).
Anyway, I should really be applying for work now.
I should have internet soon.
Hopefully.
